Overfishing and sustainability have become of great importance in the past few years. We at Best Honour believe that whatever product is being fished today should still be available generations from now. Hence, we have partnered and proudly associated ourselves with the following organizations.

Underwater Harvesters Association (UHA)

Founded in 1981 by the geoduck license holders of British Columbia, the UHA is a group consisting mainly of participants in the geoduck fishery, including license holders and wholesalers, whose primary goal is to help sustain and promote the geoduck fisheries of British Columbia.  Working alongside the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), the UHA is able to ensure that geoduck stock are properly monitored and strictly enforced.

Ocean Wise

Founded by the Vancouver Aquarium, Ocean Wise is a conservation program that educates the general public about the issues of overfishing in order to help them make the right choice when it comes to purchasing seafood. Working in conjunction with suppliers, markets, and restaurants, Ocean Wise is able to provide all of its partners with the most current and accurate information regarding various seafood products as to ensure that they are sustainably caught.
